The successful candidate must coordinate a cross-functional team of engineers focused on embedded systems development and performance. The ideal candidate will be able to lead engineers to deliver critical program goals across multiple projects and continue to enhance PACCAR's global embedded functionality and system development and improvements. Essential FunctionsLead a team of engineers to decompose requirements specifications into product deliverables and improvements.Manage team deliverables across multiple projects and programs for all stages of product development (Definition, Concept, Engineering, and Verification/Validation), and adapt job responsibilities within the team to ensure successful completion. This will also include work assignments for the team directed/coordinated by other Supervisory colleagues in the Embedded Engineering team as it relates to dash lamp reduction, systems development, and architecture definitionSupervise design and release of embedded systems to heavy commercial trucksWork with counterparts throughout PACCAR to provide a global approach to Embedded Engineering, and maintain corporate specifications where appropriateDevelop and maintain department and program resource plans and budgets related to assigned teams.Provide written and verbal updates to PACCAR senior management on deliverables progress, program objectives, department strategic goals, or globally aligned roadmapsRecruit, mentor, and develop engineers across Embedded Engineering disciplines.Up to 15% travel (domestic and international) Preferred Skills:Experience with automotive or commercial vehicle networks, such as CAN, SAE J1939, and LIN.Knowledge of ISO26262 and ASPiCE.Experience with Application Lifecycle Management and System Modeling tools such as IBM DOORS, IBM Rational Rhapsody, IBM Rational Team Concert, Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, and HP Quality Center.PACCAR plant and service experience are desirable.
