Job Position Summary:Partner for the Vice Dean of Professional Practice and the Chief Academic Officer in their role as the programmatic support of the MSRDP for the clinical enterprise, facilitating the strategic direction and operational imperatives of the group practice in coordination with the overall DMS strategic plan and goals. Promote excellence in teaching, research, clinical service, and administration through the clinical practice plan and promote strategies that will contribute to and safeguard Dell Medical School's and the Institution's continued growth in excellence.ResponsibilitiesREPORTING: Initially will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and Vice Dean of Professional Practice. Ultimately will report to the Compensation Plan Manager and appropriate departmental and administrative personnel to provide consistent reporting across multiple accounts and departments. Monitor for changes, forecasting issues, identifying areas of concern. Provide fiscal support for benchmarking provider compensation and fair market value analysis consistent with internal policy and regulatory requirements, documenting as necessary.VALIDATION: Maintain and run periodic and ad hoc reports on compensation-related data from the appropriate UT system of record. Complete management reports and review reports for errors and inconsistencies; analyze variations in forecasts and actual performance; determine drivers of fiscal variance; develop recommendations for improvement.LIAISING: Work closely with clinical research and education teams to validate effort. Collaboration with IT, HR, and Finance teams for dashboard and reporting needs. Participate in compensation surveys and assist in audit reports to ensure accuracy of data and support any management action plans.IMPLEMENTATION: Implement scheduling software with consistency across all departments. Perform audits, and course corrections in collaboration with IT and vendor. Co-create, establish, and disseminate best practicesGENERAL: Maintain records that are complete, accurate, available, and in compliance with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements. Establish and maintain written internal procedures for processes to ensure efficient and consistent operation. Make recommendations for improvements to existing practices. Holds self and others accountable to policy, standards, and commitments and provides timely follow through on questions and concerns. Cross-train and provide backup to other team members.Other related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree and a minimum of two or three years of related work experience demonstrating increasing responsibility. Broad knowledge of financial planning and budgeting, Superb analytic, project management, and presentation skills, as well as demonstrated knowledge of and experience managing financial planning. Strong organizational skills, a flexible work style and be able to manage multiple challenging projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. Experience in academic healthcare, hospital, physician group operations, and/or higher education setting is preferred.
