Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller, the Assistant Controller will serve as a key financial advisto senimanagement, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Global Corporate Controller. S/He will oversee managers directly responsible fall aspects of corporate accounting operations including maintenance and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements, ensuring the integrity of the company's financial data and reporting. By working collaboratively with the various business units, the Assistant Controller will ensure appropriate accounting and internal controls are present and operating efficiently across the organization. The ability to manage day-to-day operational and technical accounting and reporting activities, project manage process improvements and lead other functional and management initiatives while meeting key objectives and deadlines is critical fsuccess. This role requires an experienced, collaborative accounting professional with strong leadership and people management skills. The Assistant Controller must be able to think strategically as well as ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations. Specific Responsibilities Ensure that internal and external accounting and financial reporting is delivered in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable guidance. Comply with all regulatory (e.g., SEC) reporting requirements, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes and managements discussion and analysis fSEC reporting forms Oversee the preparation of financial reports to provide corporate management with pertinent information and analysis on the operating results of the business units. Lead the accounting team in ensuring consistent implementation of corporate accounting principles and procedures in full compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Analysis of financial performance and the ability to effectively articulate this performance verbally and in writing to senimanagement. Research technical accounting issues to ensure appropriate accounting treatment. Understand, implement, and monitpending FASB proposals, and communicate their timing and potential effects. Developerp future financial leaders through talent Developerpment, training and mentoring of individuals, as well as staffing and recruiting of necessary skill sets. Consult on accounting impact of proposed transactions and advise operating executives on alternative deal structures. Interface with investrelations and assist with the Developerpment of analyst communications and presentations. Supervise and manage the performance of the corporate accounting team in financial reporting, accounting and internal controls. Manage audit processes, working with the external public accounting firm fthe planning, coordination, and conduct of reviews and audits. Identify and implement opportunities to promote streamlined processes, financial systems, operational efficiencies and enhanced internal controls. Developerp and build relationships with the leaders of verticals with an eye toward truly understanding the business and solving issues as a business partner to operational leadership.
