Responsibilities The Deployment Solutions (DS) Operations Manager is the single point of contact between the local India functional leadership (Facilities, HR, etc.) and DS team and departmental leads that are India-based and abroad. As such, this role is responsible for establishing a local DS community that is connected with both the broader Syneos India organization and the holistic Deployment Solutions business unit, to represent DS holistically in India, and to provide local operational and talent support, as well as market insights to enable the DS India teams to thrive in their local efforts. Local Ambassador: • Become the Syneos India SME to help DS leaders navigate local customs, policies and procedures • Provide local market insights on talent trends, current events, etc. to support the success of the DS India operation • Supports local and cross geographical functional level team building initiatives • Become the local DS ambassador and champion - representing DS team in local office initiatives such as social events, facilities updates, etc., as well as trouble-shoot holistically on local administrative logistics as needed Talent: • Partners as needed with hiring managers in the recruitment process • Partners with hiring managers and functional departments to support the New Hire Onboarding process • Establish and maintain a healthy local DS employee culture that drives employee engagement and retention and drives connectivity between the India based DS teams and the global DS teams DS Representative: • Represents DS as part of a local Commercial leadership team that champions the Commercial organization locally • Becomes the local go-to for local DS staff looking to connect across DS departments and/or with broader Syneos • Manage logistics and budget for India in-person gatherings for work and social purposes • Manage key stakeholder relationships with local functional leads, as well as internal departments • Proactively partner with internal department leads to deliver communication of information to local team as appropriate. Job Requirements • Minimum BA/BS in Business Administration or other relevant degrees • Able to communicate fluently in the English language (written and verbal) • 7+ years of professional experience in business management/operations functions, with minimum of 2 years working in a globally connected way, as part of an extended team that is spread across other geographic locations • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a direct or indirect people manager of small (up to 10) to mid (10+) cross-functional teams in a matrixed reporting structure • Proven leadership and success in operations management to navigate complexities of local and international business processes • Exceptional interpersonal skills to diplomatically interact with all levels of employees and stakeholders • Ability to identify and understand broad-scope issues while simultaneously attending to details • Background and experience in pharmaceutical industry a plus
