Job Description We have the ability to hire at the Associate or Mid-level for this position.You'll work a hybrid schedule of 3 days on site in our Dallas, Texas facility and up to 2 days remote.The Associate levelNetwork Engineerwill support Dart's global data communications network. The position includes installation, proactive monitoring, optimization, maintenance and support of all network hardware, software, policies, procedures and associated systems.The Mid-levelNetwork Engineerwill administer and support Dart's global data communications network. The position includes participation in the design, development, installation, proactive monitoring, optimization, maintenance and support of all network hardware, software, policies, procedures, and associated systems.Day-to-Day Role:Associate level will:Deploy and maintain WAN, LAN, Wireless, Voice and Video solutions and networks including servers, routers, switches, and related hardwareTroubleshoot, identify and repair complex network issues for WAN, LAN, Voice, Video, Internet connections and end-user issuesCommunicate and coordinate network maintenance, operational status, and downtime to users and managementMid level will:Deploy and maintain Cloud, WAN, LAN, Wireless, Voice and Video solutions and networks including servers, routers, switches, gateways and related hardwareTroubleshoot escalated issues to identify and repair complex network issues for WAN, LAN, Voice, Video, Internet connections and end-user issuesCommunicate and coordinate network maintenance, operational status, and downtime to users and Management as per established change management process and proceduresAid in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and maintain current knowledge of plan executablesPerform analysis of network needs and contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installationParticipate as a contributor in the implementation of projects, taking direction from Network Architects, Senior Engineers and/or project leadsProvide guidance and instruction to other members of the teamEnsure via collaboration with internal IT Security as well as external OEM's and vendors that Network security hardening/compliance is integrated into all designs and operational remediationProvide technical mentoring to team members and foster a continuous improvement mindsetIn addition to the above, both levels will:Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plansPrepare and maintain documentation of network standards, configurations, procedures and cabling layoutsInteract with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and servicesMonitor and identify network capacity and performance issues to maximize efficiency of company communication systemsPerform system and equipment auditsRecommend network design changes based upon system review, test results, monitoring data and company requirementsCore Skills and Qualifications:The idealAssociate levelcandidate must possess all of the following:High school diploma or equivalentThree (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years working in a multi-network, multi-protocol environmentAbility to collaborate with team membersPreferred Skills and Qualifications nine (9) years working in a multi-network, multi-protocol environmentRequires one of the following:Cisco CCNA certification OREight (8) years of network routing and switching experience ORDetailed knowledge of OSPF/EIGRP/Spanning Tree protocolsThree (3) years of experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocolsThree (3) years of experience with comprehensive knowledge in two or more of the following areas: Cloud (Azure, AWS) networking, Routing and Switching, Security (Firewalls, Proxy technology), Wireless, Data Center, Video/Voice, SD-WANOne (1) year of experience with Cisco ACI
