This position is fully on-site unless deemed otherwise by the supervisor, under particular circumstances and approved in advance.PurposeThe purpose of the position is to assist MD and PhD clinical researchers in various aspects of clinical research in an acute stroke population including but not limited to: participant recruitment, enrollment, data collection and study management. Administrative duties include coordinating study investigator protocol training, document management, assisting with Lone Star Stroke meetings, preparing annual reports, attending and participating in weekly staff meetings.ResponsibilitiesAssists with the recruitment, selection, scheduling and monitoring of research project participants. Manages the handling of adverse events, compliance, and other participant related issues.Collaborates to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Assists with responding to and preparing for audits. Participates in study protocol development.Collaborates with primary investigator, sponsor, and research staff to plan, conduct and evaluate project protocols. Monitors and reports on progress of projects. Assists with finding and applying for research funding.Enters data into study specific databases. Ensures data remains clean and coded appropriately. Maintains impeccable study records. Maintains log tracking progress of all trauma related research studies and reports on progress to appropriate departments/groups.Prepares and presents IRB proposals. Serves as a liaison between clinical setting and research investigators to ensure clear communication and study progress.Other related functions as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a field related to the work to performed or Master's degree. Three years of experience coordinating or administering a program or 1yr experience with Master's degree.
