ICU Staff Nurse Full-time Job

Roles and Responsibilities.

Provide professional nursing care with an assigned unit according to established standards and procedures. Provide comprehensive care to assigned patients. Follows policy and delivers designated nursing interventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the documented medical plan of care. Takes the nursing history, summarizes data and states nursing diagnoses / patient care needs. Organize and maintain patient file and reports as per the MRD requirements in all shifts. Ensure accurate documentation in nursing assessment sheet, pre and post-operative documents, intake output chart, ER chart, ICU chart etc. Dont use other ink to erase, only strike off with single line. Always greet with smile to patient and companion for their well-being. Be groomed always. Observes and records signs, symptoms and behaviors including the physiological status of patients reports, assessment changes to the concerned authority. Ensure smooth functioning of admission, discharge and transfer procedures and assists others with patients activities and care with collaborative manner. Follow handover-takeover process accurately with written/online notes. Ensure introduction of next shift team member to patient and patient side medication check in each shift. Executes physicians orders for all assigned patients safely and properly administers medications and treatments. Strictly adhere read back policy (Refer policy no. 6 of medical admin). Ensure identification safety for collection of specimens during collection and till the report informed to consultant. Participate in consultant’s rounds and assist by giving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment and observations.
