As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be a part of highly technical team which runs the Talos cloud infrastructure. This operations team supports multiple DEVOPS teams to provide the platform for several microservices. This position requires a skilled senior cloud engineer who has hands on experience in designing, implementing, and managing several cloud components within AWS and Azure. Responsibilities:Perform capacity, availability, issue resolution and organizational change processes for cloud environmentsEnsure that management and monitoring tools are integrated with AWS and AzureScale components by forecasting needs and adding or removing components as needed to minimize costsAssist application developers with solving PaaS related issues as neededUpgrade installed services and infrastructure on regular basisInstall, configure, and support multiple environments - PROD, Stage, Sandbox etc.Work within small teams, based on agile/scrum methodologiesProvide direction and architecture guidance on best practices to deploy solutions in AWS and Azure environmentsWork with minimal guidanceBe a part of on-call rotation for incident supportRequirements:Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience, or equivalent experience2+ years of strong in-depth technical experience in various AWS services like - EKS, EMR, S3, Aurora, VPC, Lambda, IAM, EC2, RDS etc.1+ years of experience with container-based development and orchestration platforms. (Kubernetes, ECS, Docker Swarm)Experience creating automation using AWS SDKs in Python, Ruby, or similarExperience with scripting languages like Python, Go etc.Solid ability to create automation with Terraform, Ansible etc.Candidate for this position shall have AWS certificationsExperience with MapRStrong verbal, written communications, and technical documentation experienceProven history of working within timelines and the ability to succeed under pressureExperience with architecting, implementing, and maintaining highly available mission critical environments for 24O7 availabilitySecurity background preferredWhy Cisco?At Cisco, each person brings their unique talents to work as a team and make a difference.
