Under the supervision of the Program Administrator, the Program Coordinator will coordinate aspects of TPAN programs.This is a federally funded position sponsored by the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC). TCMHCC was created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of the health-related institutions of higher education to address urgent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in this state in relation to children and adolescents.The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with providers, ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skill, and should possess a commitment to professional ethical and practice standards. TPAN provides one-on-one support to patient care providers that help treat behavioral health needs of expectant mothers and provide access to mental health services. This position may require occasional work on-site for some of the scheduled work week.Remote work will require reliable internet access and a suitable workspace free from distractions.PurposeThis position will oversee the program personnel, strategy and day-to-day operations. It will provide assistance and guidance to patient care providers (Obstetricians, Pediatricians, Family Docs, PA, NPs, Nurse Midwives, Psychiatrists) in the American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funded projects through the Texas Psychiatry Access Network()program at Dell Medical School. ResponsibilitiesOversee design and implementation of complex program operations. Hire, train, and supervise TPAN staff members. Coordinate, plan, and develop projects and functions within TPAN. Adhere to program management requirements, track project progress and expenses, identify and escalate risks, and ensure alignment with program objectives. Coordinate with operations and clinical colleagues across programs to establish goals, align procedures, solve problems, and ensure continuous program improvement. Research and prepare materials about medical resources, agencies, and clinics that serve perinatal patients in Central Texas. Collaborate with colleagues on the scope and development of plans and materials (e.g., flyers, newsletters, website content) to recruit and support the project. Outreach and promotion of program to include webinars, info sessions and various online methods. Develop reports for internal and external audiences. Assist in identifying and addressing areas of need in the program workflow with colleagues, stakeholders, and staff and faculty. Assist with development and monitoring of policies, procedures, workflows, dashboards, surveys, matrixes, training manuals, templates, and other assets to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Serve and assist external stakeholders (e.g., clinics and community mental health organizations) as a resource and point of contact for questions, concerns or complaints, and using good judgment and University policies, as appropriate, responds to issues brought up. Represent and promote TPAN and mental health consortium programs in meetings, trainings, and other events.Organize and coordinate meetings, trainings, and other activities. Performs all other duties as assigned.Other related functions as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree with major coursework in the field of assignment is required and five years of experience coordinating or administering a program; or three years of experience with a Master's degree. Strong technological skills and ability to perform computer tasks and utilize electronic health records independently. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with providers, ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skill, and possess a commitment to professional ethical and practice standards. Ability to work remotely as needed. At least one (1) year of experience providing customer service via e-mail, phone, in-person, or virtual meeting platform. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsLPC or LCSW, LMSW or LMFT License. Advanced proficiency with at least one (1) virtual meeting system (e.g., Zoom, Teams, or other). Advanced proficiency with a least one (1) project management system (e.g., Smartsheet). Experience working across programs, departments, and/or institutions to achieve goals. Experience working in educational or health systems caring for children with behavioral or mental health challenges. Experience coordinating, planning and/or developing projects and functions. Experience organizing and coordinating meetings, trainings, and other activities.
