Do it here.What you'll be doing... You will be the Lead Outside Plant facility planner for up to five Verizon Market areas. As the planner you will be responsible for reviewing both internal and external customer service requests and program initiatives. You will design solutions and estimate capital requirements needed to meet the customer/project objectives. You will be responsible for monitoring the capacity of the fiber facilities within your assigned marketsand for development of capacity relief plans and business case/budget submission to secure the necessary capital to address growth requirements. You will work closely with your peers within the Market as well as CORE engineering to ensure internal augmentation plans meet internal design standards.Reviewing Customer Opportunity / New Revenue Opportunity Requests.High level review and build cost analysis of future internal company demand.Vetting of Lit and Dark demand for 3rd party Carriers.OSP Hard Estimate review of medium and large customer service requests in the Out of Franchise Markets.Support of Internal Cost Saving Program Initiatives.Identify Target building opportunities and Vett solutions.Issuance of Planning Work order.ROI Fallout analysis.Review of backhaul network for designs for failure domain compliance and support of management review requests.GIS mapping support for field teams to maintain diversity requirements and network reliability.Support of the Near Net program launch including process development and identification of buildings for revenue growth.Where you'll be working...This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.What we're looking for... You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.Four or more years of relevant work experience.Engineering, Planning, or Operations knowledge, especially with Outside Plant Planning and Customer solution design.Experience with agile processes and methodologies.Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows and MS Office.Even better if you have one or more of the following:Knowledge of fiber optic engineering principles within OSP job related functional area to include general practices, procedures and industry standards.Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications.Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.Knowledge of Verizon systems such as: ICON, CCP, CoFEE/CANVAS, BGW, MECCA, XNG, TCOMS, GRIP,FIM, FIM-Planning , 3GIS, Fiber Services, and nSAP.Experience designing solutions for customer opportunitiesExperience proposing solutions supported by sound engineering and operational productivity to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.Detail oriented, well organized, and effective in multi-tasking.Ability to work independently to achieve deliverables and resolve urgent/complex issues.Strong computer skills (Databases, Processes, and Administrative) - knowledge and skill of complex applications including Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Visio, ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, Google Earth, etc.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.Equal Employment Opportunity We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
