The incumbent, as part of the EIIC's State Partnership team, will be tasked with identifying and developing programs, materials, and resources in support of State and Territory EMSC Programs. All programs are aimed at achieving the EMSC mission through support of the State/Territory EMSC programs. This position requires a broad view of healthcare systems within both hospital and the prehospital environments as well as the ability to utilize a systems-based approach to improving pediatric emergency care including improved equity in access. This is a grant funded limited position expected to end June 30, 2024, with the opportunity for renewal.A hybrid or remote work arrangement is possible for this position, which is based in Austin, Texas. Pre-approval on state eligibility during the offer process will be required for remote work.Remote work will require reliable internet access and a suitable workspace free from distractions. PurposeThe State Partnership Specialist will work closely with State/Territory EMSC Program Managers to identify needs and create solutions that support Program Managers in addressing these needs. In addition to other EIIC State Partnership team members, the State Partnership Specialist will work closely with project managers, subject matter experts and staff within the EIIC to ensure the State Partnership EMSC Program voice is represented.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, recommend, and implement programs, improvements and changes that contribute to State and Territory EMSC program success.Coordinate with project managers, leaders, and subject matter experts from the EIIC, State and Territory EMSC Programs, and HRSA to create sustainable programs that support the State and Territory EMSC programs.Participate in the preparation of resource materials, toolkits, and other written material and documentation.Assist in the development of informational videos and graphics.Compile best practices, tools and resources generated from the above activities into an online toolkit with support from the Communications domain.Participate in internal and external State Partnership related meetings.Foster collaborative relationships with State and Territory EMSC Programs.Represent the voice of the State Partnership Programs in support of their defined mission.Maintain awareness of healthcare systems to assist State and Territory EMSC Programs with effective program implementation.Support the EIIC State Partnership domain reporting to the domain leader.Work autonomously; Willingly take direction and respond to constructive criticism. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field and five (5) years of demonstrable, relevant work experience. Alternatively, a master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration or a related field and three (3) years of demonstrable, relevant work experience. Prior experience working in the areas of pediatrics, emergency medicine, public health, or healthcare administration. Experience with program development and planning in a healthcare or public health setting. Strong communication skills. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, survey tool (e.g., Qualtrics, REDCap), Zoom and email communications.
