Database Programmer Description/Job Summary POSITION OBJECTIVEDevelop and maintain the in-house database management system for improving the production efficiency.QUALIFICATIONSB.S. degree in computer science field or significant work experience in IT field.Familiar with Visual VB.NET and MySQL DatabaseGood field troubleshooting capability.Good database administration skill.Good IT helpdesk skills.Good written and oral communication skills.TRAININGVB.Net programming is preferred.AUTHORITY/DECISION MAKINGN/A.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESReport to IT Supervisor/maintenance manager.Design, development, implement and optimize Production Data Systems as needed.Troubleshooting on Production Data Systems by debugging program, correcting data and equipment reconfiguration.Design, develop, and maintain data upload/download programs between Central database (IBM/AS400) and local database.Available 24 hours consolation to support on our systems at satellite plant.Backup, analyze, and optimize current production database.Database administration.IT helpdesk if necessary.Other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Director.Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
