The successful candidate fthis position must be able to work with several different tools and technologies. The responsibilities of a Developer include: Developerp and maintain a solid working knowledge of the investment industry and business processes. Participate on assignments and projects, clarifying business requirements, performing application Developerpment and modification activities, as well as related maintenance and support. Participate in planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements. Engage in client interaction. Developerp applications perform application maintenance per written technical specifications with general supervision from SeniDevelopers on the team. Assist with the translation of business and technical requirements into application modules. Utilize programming languages and software technology, fully understanding and applying disciplined software Developerpment processes. Manage own tasks within assignments around production support and maintenance plan(s). Developerp modify software application modules using disciplined software Developerpment processes. Assist with the Developerpment modification of software application modules, following instructions, and using disciplined software Developerpment processes. Apply quality assurance principles and processes, ensure application meets needs of client and business, and test and implement application modules that have been Developerped modified. Provide ongoing maintenance of applications tools. Handle support issues within area of expertise. QUALIFICATIONS : HIMCO is currently seeking an Applications Developer to join our Front Office Application Developerpment organization. Qualified candidates will have the following requirements: 1-3+ years experience Developerping systems with .NET, C#, and solid understanding of SQL and relational databases. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology a related discipline from an accredited college university. Demonstrated experience with software Developerpment, testing, and quality assurance methodologies. A minimum of three years of experience with system Developerpment and maintenance on Windows server platforms. Experience in supporting the implementation and integration of vendsystems and packages is a plus. Priexposures to investment software systems and reporting tools are a plus. Demonstrated passion flearning and applying technology. Excellent verbal and written communication ability is required. Must be able to communicate with business users in non-technical terms and communicate the impacts of system changes to business partners.
